The roofs of Glasgow

When you walk along the streets of Glagow, raise your head to look at the roofs of Glasgow.
Glasgow is an old city, the biggest and the most populated of Scotland.
The infrastructures are beautiful, they deserve that we pay attention to them

Glasgow - Open Mic, for a relaxing evening

If you come to visit Glasgow you should definetely go to a Pub and enjoy some live music for a relaxing chillout night. My favourit so far was an Open Mic at Nice 'N' Sleazy on Mondays. I loved the atmosphere. It is not too crowded and the singers are mostly really talented. You can just chill, enjoy the music, forget about following the Travel Rabbit for a second and let the day end with a beer. :-)

Isle of Skye #5: Old Man of Storr and Elgol

One of the must-do's on Isle of Skye is visiting the Old Man of Storr - not only visiting but climbing up the mountain! It's a rocky hill with an adventures path through a foresty area. I felt like a hobbit on an adventure climbing up there. It takes at least 40 minutes but you will not regret. The view is estonishing. Just take care while climbing up to the rocks. And take some sturdy shoes with you on the trip ;-)

Elgol is a village on the shores of a Loch in the middle of the highlands. Surprise, surprise: you have wonderful view from there!

Get some rest at Ayr

Not far away from Glasgow, Ayr is a sweet coastal city.
Jump into a train, for about £12 for a return-ticket, and go to take advantage of the sea air and the beach !!

If you want to try some Fish & Chips, it's the moment !!
Stop at the Wellington (100-104 Sandgate for the name of the street), they make really good Fish & Chips for £4-5.
Enjoy ;)

From the train station to the Wellington by foot

Dolphins at North Kessock

Want to see some dolphins ??? Go to North Kessock, not far away from Inverness. A best way to go there from Inverness is simply to take the bus, for less than £5.

Walk along the coast and watch the sea !!

You can stop at the White Cottage Tea Room, a lovely place to have a rest just next to the sea. Tea, coffee, hot chocolate and fresh food for an amazing day :)

Overview of Edinburgh

When I arrived in Scotland, one of the first thing I did was : going to Edinburgh !!
If you are in Glasgow, you can take either the bus or the train: for a return-ticket, it is quite the same price (about 12£) and the same time (about a hour to go there).

You can do a city tour if you want to have a look at the town:

Keep your ticket, cause it is redeemable for 3 months, just in case of !!

About the rabbits #4: Head-spinner of vaste spaces

Hi fellows, welcome to the Travel Rabbits !!

If you landed here, it is certainly that you are looking for new landscapes, new horizons, and new places to visit... In brief, in preparation or doing a journey!

I like traveling since I'm young - at first when my parents made me participate to school trips, then took me in trip with them, until I left to live in a host family during a year in America.

To go and to discover, to come back, so many places remain to explore, to capture these moments in his/her heart and memories (without forgetting of course in his/her camera !!), to meet people, to adapt to what's happening...

Travels forge the youth, as we say!!

I live this year in Scotland, far from France where I come from (in fact, not that far away when we think about it !!). Provence and its sun, the South of France represents for me a quite particular place, a place where I like coming back ceaselessly, to get fresh ideas to me, return to my roots, where I want to be...

But today, I would like to share with you a picture from a quite different place, far away from there!!

It is a picture taken at the Yosemite National Park, in USA. Imagine a place where the noise of waterfalls goes along with the birdsong, where the immense trees hide birds, squirrels, deers, bears and so much more, where rivers zigzag between the green areas of plains...

This so vast and magnificent place, where not one ounce of asphalt exists, just the wind in the foliage and the sun making shadow plays on the ground.

As I, follow the White Rabbit, because often, there is no need to go far away to discover amazing places! There are everywhere!!

Enjoy :)
